In June 2008, the Competition Bureau uncovered a gas price-fixing cartel in Victoriaville, Thetford Mines, Sherbrooke, Magog, Quebec and Levis. As of April 2012, 27 people and seven companies pleaded guilty and were fined more than $3 million. 50,000 Quebecers could benefit from this class action.
